I was aging rapidly. How I looked matters to me & this was affecting my self confidence. Getting surgery done in the USA is so expensive, especially for cosmetic treatments not covered by insurance. I was looking for a US trained surgeon, but at cheaper rates. I contacted Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Debraj Shome and Cosmetic Dermatologist Dr. Rinky Kapoor over the internet. Post a Skype conversation, I had made up my mind to travel to Mumbai to see them. I had a full face lift surgery, lower & upper eyelid blepharoplasty, followed by carbon dioxide laser resurfacing. Each of these procedures would have cost me a bomb in the US, but believe it or not, all of these procedures cost me less than 5000 USD in India. I liked the integrated cosmetic surgery & dermatology treatments & felt that I was getting the best of both worlds from these world class specialists. Both these physicians are trained in the US, speak great English, communicate well and are extremely knowledgeable in what they do! The equipment & the doctors were first world, I paid third world rates, what more can a retired teacher ask for! I look years younger, it is almost like a second life. I did suggest that they should call their center Second Life, Instead of The Esthetic Clinic!
