Dr. Karishma Kagodu

Dr. Karishma Kagodu, MBBS, MS, MCh, is a Board Certified Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic surgeon who has rapidly become one of the most sought after aesthetic surgery practitioners in India. She led the department of Plastic Surgery at Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore, solo from 2016 -2018. She is also associated with Apollo Spectra Hospital, and Cytecare Cancer Hospital in Bangalore. Dr. Karishma's skill and passion for cosmetic and aesthetic surgery draws patients from across India and abroad. After completing her MS in General Surgery in Karnataka, she discovered that her true passion as a surgeon lay in helping people look their best. She then went on to do her Superspeciality training in Plastic Surgery from St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore and passed with a gold medal.

Subsequently, she put herself through advanced training in different aspects of cosmetic surgery. In fact, most of Dr. Karishma’s patients come to her to benefit from this training she has undergone in cosmetic surgery, especially procedures such as Liposuction, Facelift, Necklift, Body Contouring, Waist Sculpting ,Six Pack surgery, Tummy Tuck, Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift, Breast Reduction, Post Cancer Breast Reconstruction, Rhinoplasty (Nose Jobs) and more.

She went on to doing her Fellowship in Facial Aesthetic Surgery with the Dutch Association of Facial Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (DAFPRS), under the aegis of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS)

She has trained in Aesthetic Body Contouring, Breast and Face Procedures, 3-D and 4-D liposuction with renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Sanjay Parashar at the Cocoona Aesthetic and Day Care Centre, Dubai. She is well trained to perform Liposuction with the latest Innovation and Techniques such as – Power Liposuction and VASER LIPO.

She underwent specialized training in Rhinoplasty (Nose job) with world famous Dr. Nazim Cerkes (Current President of Rhinoplasty Society of Europe), at the Cosmed Clinic, Istanbul, in Turkey.

She trained in Microsurgical Onco-Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetic Breast related procedures with Dr. Venkat Ramakrishnan at St Andrew's Centre of Plastic surgery Chelmsford, Essex, in the U.K.

She has also had hands on professional Hair Transplant training at The Vasa Hair Academy, Baroda, with Dr. Sanjay Vasa and attended the Ear Reconstruction Workshop at Bombay and Nair Hospital, Mumbai, with Dr. Firmin Francois and Dr. Alexander Marchac.

Dr. Karishma, at a young age, is getting recognised as an expert in the field of aesthetic and cosmetic surgery and has presented papers at several major international and national conferences. In 2018, she was the youngest ISAPS Faculty at Zurich ISAPS Congress- Art and Aesthetics 2018 organized by Swiss Aesthetic Society, where she made a presentation on Rhinosurgery (Nose job).

Dr. Karishma is also passionate about contributing to the furtherance of aesthetic and cosmetic surgery in India and bringing state of the art knowledge to the country. In 2017 and 2018, she organised, for the first time in India a Facial Aesthetic Cadaver Dissection Course , under the aegis of the IAAPS, in Bangalore, conducted by renowned Rhinoplasty Surgeons Dr. Enrico Robotti from Italy and Dr. Nazim Cerkes, from Turkey.

Much sought after as an academic faculty as well, Dr. Karishma also loves to be involved with upcoming conferences and meetings in India and abroad to continue to share knowledge and imbibe more information, keeping herself updated with the latest advances in cosmetic surgery.
