A Sebaceous Cyst is a closed sac found just under the skin containing pasty- or cheesy-looking skin secretions.

In most cases it can be diagnosed based on its appearance. Occasionally, a biopsy may be needed.

Most cysts may be ignored.

Narrow hole excision is preferred method of excision (surgical removal).

At times, they may become inflamed and tender. Others may grow large. In these cases, they can be surgically removed in a physician’s office.
